Seasons Greetings!

The Holiday Season is upon us, our Christmas party was just held at the Corner House Restaurant on Saturday, December 10, 2011, with 41 members and friends enjoying Hors d’oeuvres and cocktails.

Our boating season is over, the boats should be winterized and covered and we should be planning to take some education courses over the winter. The ABC boating course was a great success with 12 people passing the course and 11 people becoming members in SISPS. The JN course is in progress with 5 students and the sail course with 3 students just completed their test.

On November 27 we held the Frank R. Corrado Memorial Christmas Brunch and 141 members and friends attended. We were able to donate $3500.00 and 174 Gifts to the Staten Island Chapter of the New York Foundling Hospital. Thank You to all who worked on this worthy project and made it such a great success.

In January, at our General membership meeting we will have guest speaker Linda Dianto, President of the National Light House Museum. She will make a short presentation. There will be a flier out soon.

In closing, Margaret and I would like to wish everybody all the best in this Holiday Season and a very healthy, prosperous and Happy New Year. God Bless all the men and women defending our country and God Bless the Staten Island Sail and Power Squadron.
